We need some unicorns these days

The pandemic isn't over, setting record numbers of cases and deaths. The election is almost over, except for the threat of violence and outright thievery from deluded losers.

There's still hunger and poverty and unemployment and racism and crime and violence and war and persecution and more more, as 2020 nears the end.

There's still goodness--exemplified by the thousands of dedicated first responders in health care, law enforcement, firefighters and caregivers--and in decent law-abiding citizens, by genuine religious people who practice peace and goodwill on earth.

We still need some unicorns, some magic to bring more hope and  joy to more of human kind.
