To a poor poet of plosives

Poor poet of plosives
pitifully persecuted
perplexed by pain
presumably prepared
to prosecute pestilence
prophetic prologue
for prospects of prosperity
pronouncements of persiflage
prosodic proof
and promising prologues
for proletarian propinquity.

For Poet K. Lawson Gilbert
